About the print

68 seasons. In Brooklyn, and one championship in all of them.

The Dodgers reached the World Series seven times before 1955 and lost every one, five of them to the Yankees, from the same city. In 1955 they finally won.

Two years later the owner, Walter O'Malley, having failed to get the new stadium he wanted, moved the team to Los Angeles. The last match at Ebbets Field was played on 24 September 1957, in front of six thousand seven hundred people. The ground was demolished in 1960 and flats were built on it.

Stories worth passing on, not just remembering.
