Buster Douglas Art Print, Tokyo 1990 Tyson Upset, Vintage Boxing Wall Art

About the print

42 to 1. Mike Tyson was undefeated and undisputed heavyweight champion, and only one casino in Las Vegas would even price the fight. It made James Buster Douglas a forty two to one underdog.

Douglas had buried his mother twenty three days earlier. He outboxed Tyson for eight rounds, was knocked down in the eighth and got up before ten, and in the tenth he put Tyson on the floor of the Tokyo Dome.

Tyson was on his knees reaching for his mouthpiece when the count reached ten. It is the upset every other upset in boxing is measured against.

Stories worth passing on, not just remembering.
