About the print
183. India were rank outsiders at the 1983 World Cup, with one win in the two previous tournaments combined. In the final at Lord's, Clive Lloyd put them in and they were bowled out for one hundred and eighty three.
Nobody in the ground thought it was defensible. The West Indies had won the first two World Cups and had not lost a match in either.
They reached fifty for two and then fell apart, all out for one hundred and forty. Mohinder Amarnath took three wickets for twelve runs and was named man of the match. Indian cricket was never the same again.
Stories worth passing on, not just remembering.
