About the print
74-40. On 12 August 1994 the Montreal Expos had the best record in Major League Baseball and led their division by six games.
The squad was young almost throughout and included Larry Walker, Moises Alou, Marquis Grissom and Pedro Martinez.
That day the players went on strike. The rest of the season was cancelled and so was the World Series, for the first time since 1904. The Expos never had a team like it again and never reached a World Series. They moved to Washington in 2005 and became the Nationals.
Stories worth passing on, not just remembering.
