About the print

1-0. North Korea were at their first World Cup and were not expected to take a point from it. Italy had won the tournament twice.

At Ayresome Park in Middlesbrough, Pak Doo Ik scored in the forty second minute. It sent Italy home and North Korea into the quarter-finals. The crowd in Middlesbrough had adopted them over three weeks and filled the ground for a team most of them could not have placed on a map.

In the quarter-final they led Portugal three nil after twenty five minutes. They lost five three, with Eusebio scoring four.

Stories worth passing on, not just remembering.
