About the print

58 years. Wales had not played at a major tournament since the World Cup of 1958.

At their first European Championship they came top of a group that included England. In the quarter-final at Lille they went behind to Belgium, ranked second in the world, after thirteen minutes.

Ashley Williams headed the equaliser, Hal Robson-Kanu turned two defenders with a Cruyff turn and scored the second, and Sam Vokes headed the third. Three one. Portugal beat them in the semi-final. They have not reached one again.

Stories worth passing on, not just remembering.
