About the print
24 seasons. In Winnipeg, seven of them in a rival league where the Jets signed Bobby Hull away from Chicago and won three titles.
By the mid nineties the club was losing money in a small building in a small market with a weak Canadian dollar. In 1995 the city ran a public campaign to keep them, and ordinary people pledged money in the street to buy shares in a hockey team.
It was not enough. The last match was played on 28 April 1996 and the franchise moved to Phoenix.
Stories worth passing on, not just remembering.
