About the print
He picked up the marker. The 1969 Ryder Cup came down to the final hole of the final match. Tony Jacklin had a putt of roughly two feet to halve his match and, with it, the entire contest.
Nicklaus conceded it. The Ryder Cup finished level for the first time in its history. He told Jacklin he did not believe he would have missed, but that he was not willing to give him the chance to find out.
Several of his own teammates were furious. More than fifty years later it is still known simply as the Concession.
Stories worth passing on, not just remembering.
