About the print

Seven rounds on the ropes. George Foreman had knocked out Joe Frazier and Ken Norton in two rounds each, and Muhammad Ali was thirty-two and seven years past his best. Almost nobody gave Ali a chance of surviving, let alone winning.

So he did the one thing his corner had begged him not to do. He went to the ropes and let Foreman hit him, absorbing the heaviest puncher in the sport while talking to him.

In the eighth Foreman had nothing left and Ali knocked him down. He had not invented the tactic that night. He had decided his body could take it, which is a different kind of courage.

Stories worth passing on, not just remembering.
